Located in Cedar Park, the Cypress Creek campus serves a wide range of students from the northwest quadrant of the Greater Austin area. Students attending this campus have the opportunity to study many programs including Health Sciences, Criminal Justice, Real Estate, and a wide variety of science classes. Students interested in science fields will find numerous classes and resources available at Cypress Creek, such as Chemistry and Microbiology labs. The campus is also home to ACC’s Real Estate program, where students can study real estate laws and obtain licenses to become agents.
Students at Cypress Creek have the chance to also participate in an annual art show and community blood drives facilitated by the Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas throughout the school year. In addition to serving student needs, the campus serves the needs of Cedar Park and Leander as a community center. The Cedar Park and Greater Leander Chambers of Commerce hold expos and job fairs at the campus to increase the opportunities available to both students and residents of the area.
This morning, 200 students came the our CYP Halloween celebration: A Spooktacular Day. Students participated in a costume contest, and enjoyed free food and games, including an inflatable haunted house. Student evaluations of the event had great things to stay, including "can y'all do this every week?"
Today students came out and tried their hand at being British. The 150 students who participated in traditional English games and food had a jolly good time. Some even practiced their accent, to blend in when studying abroad there. No matter if you spell it catsup or ketchup, today the English culture was embraced at Cypress Creek.
Today at Cypress Creek 100 students explored the opportunities and resources around them with the Fall Involvement Fair. Featured organizations and resources at the event were: Austin LIT, ACC Votes, The Gender Revolution, Phi Theta Kappa, ALPFA, Student Government, Intramural Sports & Recreation, the Army, Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP), the Learning Lab, and Student Life. The event brought the students and the organizations together, and the orgs reported making solid contacts with the students.
